Vancouver has a well-structured transportation system separated into multiple zones. Transportation includes SkyTrain (the above-ground subway line), SeaBus (water transport), West Coast Express (train that goes to/from downtown Vancouver and Mission on weekdays) and Bus (including day and night buses).

Compass Card
Reloadable Fare Card

A Compass Card is a reloadable fare card that works everywhere on transit in Metro Vancouver.

  • Initial Deposit: $6 refundable deposit required
  • Where to Get: All SkyTrain stations and many other locations
  • Registration: Visit compasscard.ca for registration, balance checking, and payments
  • Alternative: You can now "tap" your credit card on buses and at SkyTrain station fare gates
