Zero Tolerance Drug Policy: Drugs are not tolerated. If you are caught under the influence or in possession of any illegal drugs: police will be contacted, parent or guardian will be notified (if applicable), you may face fines, arrest, jail time (if convicted), and you may face deportation from Canada. College Policy: Illicit drug use will result in immediate suspension or expulsion from Guildford College.

Study Permit and School Changes

New Process (Starting November 8, 2024): You must be enrolled in the designated learning institution (DLI) named on your study permit. This means you can no longer change DLIs by letting us know through your online account. To change DLIs, you need to apply for a new study permit.

Post-Graduation Work Permits
Work in Canada After Graduation

You may be eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP) if you graduated from a designated learning institution (DLI) and want to stay in Canada temporarily to work.

Important: Graduation from a DLI doesn't automatically make you eligible for a PGWP. Check the DLI list to find out which schools have eligible programs.
